Can you really get rid of pimples?
There is plenty of information on the web and elsewhere about getting rid of pimples. The authors all make make similar suggestions, which may have some merit:
Ice packs
Cleanse
Ointments
Oil-free makeup
Dab toothpaste (hmm, interesting)
Avoid squeezing, picking
However, after a long bout with pimples in my youth, I discovered a simple truth, for me anyway: if I skipped cleansing my face before bed, I would get a pimple a few days later. Once that pimple was there, nothing would get rid of it. I would end up brutalizing my face with excessive cleansing, pimple creams, fingernails… All to no avail.
Of course, after a couple of weeks, the pimple would heal on its own.
Young people, in particular, because of their busy schedule, can get into the habit of occasionally just plopping into bed after a late night of work or play. A few nights of this over a couple of weeks will reliably produce several pimples. In my case, it happened without fail.
Can you see how, over time, this could result in a number of mysterious pimples appearing?
Of course a young person, or indeed a person of any age, may get small pimples just as punishment for being healthy and vigorous. But, in many cases, the real doozies (big pimples) are a direct result of not cleansing your face at night.
I realize this idea is simplistic and may even offend some people, but test it out for yourself. Remember, though, you will have to wait while the existing pimples to disappear. But in the meantime cleanse thoroughly but gently and perhaps even treat your long-suffering face to some aloe vera to help maintain a healthy level of healing moisture and nutrients. See how your face looks after three weeks. But remember: do not skip a single night of careful, gentle facial treatment or you will find an unwelcome visitor (a pimple) on your face.

Acne can be found quite often in teenagers, almost 80% of the young women and men are having pimples and half of them come in such forms that require professional medical treatment. Adolescents are suffering of Acne due to the androgen hormones that are increasing the sebum secretion of the skin and can be found in high levels in their blood.
But teenagers are not the only ones that are being affected by Acne. Women who have fluctuations in their hormonal levels due to an irregular menstruation, those who use birth control pills and pregnant women can also have Acne.
When you see all those stars on TV looking good you can not imagine that some of them had to deal with problems like Acne. Well, you should know that many Hollywood stars still have problems with Acne but they know how to cover their pimples in order to have a perfect image on TV.
Pimples are pretty unpleasant for any of us but imagine what disaster they are for a cinema star. Having a little blackhead on the forehead? Try showing it on TV and then you can expect it to grow until it reaches the sizes of a cauliflower. When was the last time you saw Jennifer Lopez or Colin Firth having a pimple on the face? Many people ask themselves whether celebrities have pimples or not. Of course they have, but the difference between regular people and them is that they can not let their pimples and other flaws be seen.
There are some tricks for covering Acne you can learn from the famous make-up artists of Hollywood:
The undercover walking: You can totally hide the color differences on your skin even if we are talking about pink, red or purple. The secret is to find a good foundation that is appropriate to you natural skin color and has a high pigment concentration. Most of the foundations we find on the market have a 12 to 15% pigment concentration. Only looking at a foundation sometimes might be tricky so you should always try it on your skin. If the skin can not be seen any more after applying the product that means that the foundation has a high pigment concentration and you will manage to hide your skin imperfections properly.
Some make up artists try another trick in covering pimples: they use two layers of foundation separated by a generous layer of transparent face powder. This way every layer of make-up will be fixed and of course, the pimple will become invisible for others.
If you decide to use this cover-up trick you should know something else: you always have to remove make up before going to bed or else your skin pores will clog up and in the morning your face will have even more pimples than before. Use an oil-free cleanser and avoid lotions that contain alcohol. Choose only products specially designed for Acne skin and in time you will see that pimples will not assault your face and body any more./pbr

Information On The Different Types Of Acne

One of the most common skin diseases in the United States is acne and 60 million Americans have this condition. Acne is an inflammatory, non-contagious skin disease that affects the pores covering the face, back, chest and arms and the oil glands attached to them. Too much oil, formally known as sebum, is produced by the sebaceous gland and causes a greasy, course complexion. When the pores that hold our hairs become blocked by dead skin cells and oil, eruptions known as acne pimples are formed.
The most common form of this disease is mild acne, which is clinically referred to as acne vulgaris, and includes blemishes such as blackheads, whiteheads, papules and pustules. Blackheads develop when a pore is partially clogged and some of the trapped bacteria, sebum and dead skin cells drain to the surface and your skin’s pigment reacts with the oxygen in the air and causes a black color. Whiteheads occur when a pore is fully blocked and traps bacteria, sebum and dead skin cells with a white appearance. Pustules are like whiteheads, however, they appear as an inflamed red circle with a yellow or white center. Finally, papules are tender, red, inflamed bumps that have no head at all.
Severe acne vulgaris is defined by the appearance of nodules and cysts. Nodules are big, hard bumps under the surface of the skin that can last for month and feel painful. Cysts are filled with pus and can have a diameter of 5mm across or more. This type of acne would require treatment from a skin doctor, known as a dermatologist.
If you have mild acne, it is important to cleanse your skin two to three times per day with a cleanser developed for oily skin. Regular use of astringents and masks can be helpful in keeping the pores from getting clogged. A light moisturizer can also help your skin. Avoiding oily skin care products and foods will minimize the existence and production of oil in your skin. A healthy lifestyle that includes a well-balanced diet, exercise and sleep will reflect in your skin. Ensuring that you drink plenty of water and incorporate all vitamins into your diet will also improve the health of your skin.
